The New York Botanical Garden’s annual Holiday Train Show has become a cherished seasonal tradition not just in New York, but across the country. Called “one of New York City’s best holiday gifts to itself,” and a chance to “See the city anew,” by the New York Times, the Holiday Train Show is a winter wonderland full of twinkling lights and the sights and sounds of New York City at its best.
After the Train Show, spend some time viewing the beautiful gardens where every season brings something new and different. Explore over 50 diverse gardens and plant collections that are located throughout the 250 acres.
After the gardens take a visit to ‘Little Italy’ and Arthur Avenue. Spend some time before lunch exploring all that Arthur Avenue has to offer.
Later, make your way to Ann & Tony’s Restaurant for lunch where they are known for their Italian cuisine and service. Chef Anthony spent many of his childhood days cooking with his grandmother, Ann. Today, the dishes he made with his grandmother at his side are recreated for the customers of Ann & Tony’s. Menu choice of: Chicken Marsala, or Veal Parmigiana, or Eggplant Parmigiana. All served with Salad, Dessert, Coffee, Tea or Decaf.
