Itinerary
Day 1 - Boston, MA
Cambridge is the spirited, slightly mischievous side of Boston, located just a bridge away on the other side of the Charles River. Here visitors from around the world mingle in the shadow of two of the world’s premier education institutions: Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Cambridge is a unique community with a strong mix of cultural and social diversity, and technological innovation. This morning we learn a bit more about Cambridge from the Charles River, as we take a relaxing cruise with the Charles Riverboat Co., viewing historic sights along the way as our captain gives narration.
After our cruise, we have lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, located right inside the Cambridgeside Galleria Mall. With French limestone floors and decorative columns, and hand-painted fabrics the lavish décor is just the beginning. You can order off of the menu from a special tour luncheon menu, offering thirty three different items.
Following lunch, we head over to Harvard University where we visit the Harvard Museum of Natural History, where we will have a chance to explore the many exhibits on display. The mission of the Museum is to enhance the publics understanding and appreciation of the natural world and the human place in it.
